Education

At CLC, education for both youth and adults is a vital part of who we are.

Youth Education

Sunday School at Christ Lutheran

Sunday School for young children is offered the last Sunday of each month during our Place at The Table worship.  (Child care for young children is provided each Sunday during the contemporary service.)  We partner with our friends at Aurora Presbyterian Church each August for a dynamic Vacation Bible School experience.  (The kids and both congregations gather the following Sunday for a celebratory worship service and picnic at Aurora City Park!)  During the school year, our Middle School youth participate in a cooperative, confirmation program we call ACMe, which utilizes games, music, drama, scripture study, and small groups to connect head knowledge with heart faith.  Youth from our congregation regularly participate in the summer programs of Camp Lutherwood near Eugene.

Adult Education

Each Sunday from September through May, adult education is offered.  Sometimes the subject is topical.  Often, we gather to discuss and study the scripture texts for that particular Sunday.

Small Groups

Currently, there are three active small groups in the congregation.  On Wednesday evenings, there is a women’s bible study group that meets at church and a book study group that meets in member’s homes. Both of these groups break for the summer.  In addition, there is a men’s breakfast bible study that meets at the church on the third Saturday of each month at 8:00 a.m.
