Giving Tree a Success!
This year we were able to help five local families, including 22 children, with complete Christmas meals, gifts, and enough extra food to take them well into the new year! Dozens of volunteers from the congregation bought gifts, assembled boxes, and helped make deliveries. Cash contributions from the church, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, and individuals totaled more than $2,500! This doesn't include the non-food gifts that were purchased by members! Thank you! Thank You! Thank You! |

A Place at The Table Birthday Dinner - Jan. 29 Our Annual "Birthday Dinner" will be celebrated after the January "A Place at The Table" worship service Sunday, January 29th. The meal is a pot luck with scandinavian meatballs provided by the church as an accompaniment. (The meatballs are coming from Ikea. I have been assured that no assembly is required.) Sign up sheets for cake bakers and table decorators are in the Narthex (entry) of the Church.

Souper Bowl of Caring - February 5
For the last few years, CLC has participated in The Souper Bowl of Caring. This event, an ingathering of food and cash contributions for local food banks, coincides with the big game that afternoon. Any non-perishable food donations or money will go to our friends at Jubilee Food Pantry. |
